Data & Account Deletion
Deciding to cancel your subscription or delete your account entirely can feel like a big decision, especially when you've put work into your project plans. We want you to understand exactly what happens to your data so you can make the choices that's right for your situation.
This page explains the difference between canceling your subscription and deleting your account, plus how to protect your project work if you need to step away from Soufflé.
Exporting Your Data
Before making any major account changes, you should export your project work:
- Use the Export function in each project to download PNG and CSV files
- This saves your dependency maps, Gantt charts, and project data in formats you can use elsewhere
- Once your subscription ends, you cannot access the app to export projects

Plan Cancellation vs. Account Deletion
Canceling Your Plan
- Monthly subscriptions
- Your account remains active until the end of your current billing period
- After that, you lose access to Soufflé, but we keep your data for 90 days in case you want to resubscribe
- You can still export projects during your final billing period
- Annual subscriptions
- Your account remains active until the end of the current month after cancellation
- You receive a prorated refund for any unused months
- Full access continues until the end-of-month cutoff
Data retention after cancellation
- Your data (including all projects and archives) is kept for 90 days after access ends
- You can export your projects anytime during this 90-day grace period
- You can resubscribe within 90 days and get full data restoration
- After 90 days, your data is permanently deleted
Complete Account Deletion
If you want your account and data completely removed immediately:
- Email souffle@breadboardfoundry.com to request account deletion
- This permanently removes all your data, projects, and account information
- Account deletion cannot be reversed — there's no recovery period
- Make sure you've exported any projects you want to keep first
